Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Job description

- Design Magnetics by understanding Power converter topologies (LLC, CLLC, DAB, PSFB..etc) and application. - Mentor Junior Engineers - Validate the design with help of Electrical (Matlab, LT spice, Maxwell) & Thermal Simulation (Ansys) and do actual test with Power Bench. - Lead product development in order to complete validation of products and release them to industrialization. - Coordinate with Project managers, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality engineers, Sales, and global R&D in Vietnam and Korea to lead the product design validation activity - Coordinate together with sales communicate directly with international or local customers at initial stage of project to define the technical specifications and guide the customer to the best approach to solve the problem they have. - Oversee and ensure for the R&D deliverables (Need to specify DFMEA, Specification, RM Specification, etc...) defined by the Milestone system - Participate early in the development project as contributor to product concept choice. Input to the process feasibility of the concepts for production, inputs to the design FMEA, evaluates development samples produced in different sample location. - Control BOM (create, modify, update…) - Provide technical drawings to purchasing team to check with suppliers for all materials in BOM that need it. - Research & update knowledge about material technology to work with sourcing/purchasing and suppliers for optimized materials selection - Owns the design of the product from initial concept until changes in the design itself motivated by cost improvements or re-engineering processes linked to quality/cost improvement coming from customer/internal parties - Participates in Quality Improvement plans and Quality Claims to solve and address all maters related to product design - Works with supplier to understand their process and define the critical characteristics to be controlled in their process in an exact/reliable/cost effective manner, involving quality department for validation when needed - Defines necessary testing to qualify the product together with customer and quality department - Perform other tasks appointed by Manager
