Description de l’emploi

● Work directly with CTO to architect and build Data Lake with data from inside and outside our company related to automative.

● Proven knowledge of algorithms and data structures

● Analyze schemas and applications to determine the most appropriate migration strategies and architectures

● Write maintainable, scalable, and performant database code and refactor existing code objects

● Leverage the latest technologies and products to convert legacy database schemas and applications code between database engines

● Identify and remediate technical obstacles to migrations

● Operate test and development environments in the cloud, run and analyze test results, perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, open, prioritize, and help triage defects, and track and report test status and results

● Design solutions and tooling to execute automated database deployments, upgrades and migrations

● Evaluate and drive changes to database and software architectures to address recurring issues or limitations

● Research and identify new opportunities for AWS to innovate on behalf of our clients

Exigences de l’emploi

● 5+ years of experience as a DBA, Database Engineer, or similar role required.

● Bachelors degree in Computer science or equivalent work experience

● Experience in multiple different relational databases, such as PostgreSQL/ MySQL/No SQL

● Experience with non-relational databases, e.g. MongoDB and Redis, and other data stores: file warehouse, etc.

● Experience working with high availability, disaster recovery and performance tuning strategies including parameters, resources, contention

● A deep understanding of data replication with experience in at least one replication technology

● Experience in writing complex procedural language artifacts: PL/SQL, TSQL PL/PgSQL, stored procedures

● Experience in Shell/Perl/Python Scripting

● Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions

● Familiarity with working in an agile pod and centre of excellence structure

● Experience influencing product development and working with development teams

● Excellent spoken and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications

● Relevant Application/Database replatforming experience (Commercial to Open Source Engines)

● Experience in AWS Platforms and Service

● Experience with TCP/IP Networking a plus

● Experience with mission-critical databases across multiple database platforms (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Netezza, Teradata, Vertica, etc.) desired

● Experience in Data Modeling, ETL workflow management desired & ability to write, tune SQL queries desired
