The Intern, Fraud Analytics contributes to GeoComply’s success by researching suspicious and potentially malicious software that may negatively impact the business and customer’s business. This position will report directly to the Anti-Fraud Senior on a day-to-day and Anti-Fraud Lead on a weekly basis.

You are able to and enjoy working across multiple teams across locations, have good communication and interpersonal skills. You have proven your ability to work under tight timelines in your work experience and are highly organized and detail-oriented.

In this role, you will:

70% Identify fraud causes:

  • Involve testing geolocation fraud methods such as Remote Desktop Protocol, Fake Location Apps, GPS Emulator Apps, Rooted Apps, etc
  • Establish the SSH connection or VNC/HTML/Cloud Server, etc
  • Prepare the package and create the deployment plan based on the available process

20% Spend time to conduct transaction monitoring and ad-hoc analysis to identify root causes of fraud

10% Help to develop and implement departmental process improvements

  • Monitor and review high-risk behavior, and make real-time decisions
  • Interact with other teams to develop fraud prevention strategy and process

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Basic knowledge in some programming languages such as Python, Java, C++
  • Comfort working with database management applications like MySQL, Sequel Pro
  • Good command in Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, and other similar programs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Need to be meticulous and thoughtful while working
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly
  • Enjoyworking in a team environment
