Position Overview

- Manages the sales activities of the organization to ensure profitable growth is achieved in alignment with the Strategic Plan while accommodating corporate goals.

- Serve in a key leadership role in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization.

- Be responsible for facilitating the revenue and growth agenda of the company.

- Lead and develop a team of Account Managers and inside sales staff.

1/ Leadership and development of all Sales Personel:

- Use experience, knowledge, and good judgment to set a positive example for all personnel.

- Proactively support the Functional Managers in the development of sales personnel in areas of customer service, product knowledge, applications, policy and procedures.

- Implement and reinforce our sales procedures when necessary to work toward continuous improvement. Seek outside training for staff as the situation warrants.

- Empower sales team to discuss sales goals and achievement of performance objectives.

- Promote a positive, team-oriented environment.

- Ensure performance of team aligns with company values and goals.

- Set goals for key team member retention that includes career development, with the intent of maintaining consistency within the organization.

2/. Strategic Planning:

- The Sales Manager works with the Operations Manager and the Sales Director to develop the annual operating plan for the company.

- Develop and document the sales portion of the plan based on forecasted sales for the upcoming one, three, and five years.

- Define staffing, training requirements, and methods of execution and timeline to the budget.

- Leverage, utilize, and interpret data as it regards to sales and strategic goals and alignment.

- Monitor plan objectives and timing to ensure on time completion of plans.

- Collaborate with Swagelok in support of Corporate manufacturing initiatives.

- Proven success with sales process and account planning.

3/. Sales Goals:

- Create forecasts and projects to set sales goals.

- Monitor and track sales results vs. goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

- Ensure sales goals are achieved.

- Achieve sales growth targets for annually established goals by market, product or targeted customers.

- Review large quotes and orders. Orders or quotes that exceed $10,000 should be reviewed by the Sales Manager for accuracy, competitive interest, cross selling opportunities, and pricing validity.

4/. Business Growth:

- Identify market niches that are strategic fits with the Company’s capabilities and devise strategies for pursuing opportunities in these markets.

- Develop aggressive commercialization plans for new products and services.

- Actively promote new accounts.

- Identify and plan to grow existing accounts through targeted marketing of the entire product line and/or services.

- Retain existing accounts and reinforce our products, services and individual sales team.

- Maintain high level engagements with key customers to assure satisfaction, participate in the sales process, troubleshoot problems, and manage the relationships.

- Develop a set of systems, controls, and disciplines to allow the Company to effectively measure, screen and evaluate new opportunities from all angles (pricing, operations etc.) to maximize our successful delivery of a premium product and service.

5/. Operational Execution:

- The Sales Manager is expected to perform to the most current revision of the annual plan and Company Strategic Plan.

- He or she will ensure that the sales team is prepared to conduct business daily.

- The Sales Manager will ensure all Swagelok Policies are understood by all associates and followed to the fullest extent.

- Explore ways to drive Custom Assembly/Solutions Sales Processes.

- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, consulting with Leadership Team, organizational officers and staff members as necessary.

- Develop and maintain KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the business as well as to measure and monitor staff performance.

Yêu cầu công việc

1/ Required:

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing or Business.

- Minimum of ten years of experience, including several years of sales leadership. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the industrial sector where he/she will have a track record of achieving recognized sales and profit growth and a history of strategically growing a business.

- Previous experience using CRM systems for relationship management.
