Job description

Manage day-to-day activities of construction phas
Supervise construction teams to execute construction and/or MEP works.
Coordinate sub-contractors’ activities and lead resolution of field construction problems.
Submiss and response for Requests for Information (RFI’s).
Obtain and review information and approvals for processing of shop drawings, product; data and samples, communicate this information across all levels of the project team.
Distribute information required for construction to appropriate parties.
Study contract drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.
Preparing estimates for changes in the work including review of Change Order requests from subcontractors.
Collabore with functional department to ensure that materials and equipment are released for fabrication or manufacture in time to meet the construction schedule.
Implement site safety as required, ensure sub-contractors, construction teams’ compliance with APC safety standards and applicable safety codes and regulations.
Facilitate focus groups to resolve significant construction issues that have been escalated.
Preparation of final records for the project including close-out documents, Operations/Maintenance (OM) Manuals, etc.
Assist in preparation of project as-builts.
Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry.
Other duties as directed by the Project Director

BS degree in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
3-5 years of experience working for construction companies in supervising and managing the construction of large projects
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing in English is a must
Proficient with computer applications as required to perform responsibilities: Auto CAD, Ms Project
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Sound knowledge of engineering, construction, and design
Understanding of the potential implications of design changes/site instructions in relation to the key aspects identified above, desired
A willingness to learn
Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution, desired
